Focus instrument cluster fault I've a focus estate 1.8 TDCI (03 plate) just clocked up 50000 miles last week. It went in yesterday (15/10/07) to a ford service centre, to sort out why the rev counter, digi display etc, have an intermittant fault. It's been diagnosed as a problem with the instrument cluster, at a cost of approx £350. fuel rail relieve valve (pressure regulator) faulty. either you are getting the wrong reading from the sensor and the ECU is shutting down. or. the pressure regulator is not maintaining the correct pressure. you need to have a manual fuel pressure gauge, or just swap out the sensor as they are not expensive. It could be a wiring problem in the bus between the diagnostic connector and the ECU. It could be the ECU has gone off into a sulk for some odd reason. Have you tried the old trick of powering it down (disconnect battery) for a while, and re-connecting. The worst scenario is a problem with the ECU or its connectors & wiring. I have 7 codes in total, I cleared them and the EML went out but reappeared after driving and all 7 codes are back. They are listed as follows: P2584 - Fuel additive control module requested Mil Illumination. U0118 - Lost communication with fuel additive control module. The ECU monitors all kinds of data, if it detects a problem, for example "knock" it may "back off" the amount of fuel injected, irrispective of the amount of throttle, It may decide to put the car into "limp home" mode, this is to protect the engine and to keep you going to get you home. The ecu knows how much throttle you use, how many revs Dịch Vụ Hỗ Trợ Vay Tiền Nhanh 1s.
